Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for using Tabithread (the “Service”), which is provided by the operator of the Service (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms apply to every relationship between you and us concerning use of the Service.
Article 2 (Service)
- The Service provides features for planning, recording, and organizing travel, primarily solo travel, and for publishing and sharing those records as travel journals.
- We may change, add to, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service without prior notice to users.
Article 3 (Accounts)
- You may register an account using an email address and password, a Google account, or an Apple Account.
- You are responsible for managing your registration information. We are not liable for loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
- By deleting your account, you may request deletion of the account and the travel records registered through it.
Article 4 (Prohibited Conduct)
You must not engage in any of the following when using the Service:
- Conduct that violates a law, regulation, or public order and morals
- Conduct that promotes child sexual exploitation, sexual content, violence, threats, self-harm, or dangerous activity
- Discrimination, harassment, defamation, or other conduct that harms others
- Conduct that infringes another person’s rights, including copyright, privacy, or portrait rights
- Registering or publishing impersonation, fraud, false information, spam, or irrelevant promotion
- Interfering with operation of the Service, gaining unauthorized access, or similar conduct
- Any other conduct that we deem inappropriate
Article 5 (User Content)
- Copyright in text, photographs, and other material that you register or publish through the Service (“User Content”) remains with you.
- When you publish a travel journal, you authorize us to use the User Content to the extent necessary to provide the Service, including displaying, distributing, and caching the public page and including it in search results and lists.
- We do not use private User Content beyond the extent necessary to provide the Service.
- An automated content filter reviews the text and images in articles and Spots when you publish them or update them while public. If the filter identifies prohibited content, the Service rejects the publication or update and identifies the affected field or image and a broad category so you can revise it.
- Automated decisions may be incorrect. You may contact us through the contact form if you disagree with a decision.
Article 6 (Reports, Blocking, and Enforcement)
- You may report a public article, public Spot, or user to us from where that target is displayed in the Service.
- You may block and unblock another user. Visibility after blocking follows the behavior shown in the Service.
- If we consider it necessary to enforce these Terms, protect rights or safety, or operate the Service appropriately, we may forcibly unpublish User Content, suspend an account, or take other necessary action.
- You may appeal an enforcement or automated decision through the contact form.
Article 7 (Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability)
- We do not warrant the accuracy, usefulness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Service or User Content.
- Except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for loss arising from interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service, loss of data, or similar events.
Article 8 (Changes to These Terms)
We may change these Terms when we consider it necessary. Revised Terms take effect when they are displayed through the Service. If a change materially affects conditions of use, we display the update to existing users and require renewed acceptance.
Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
- The court with jurisdiction over our place of business has exclusive agreed jurisdiction over disputes concerning the Service.
